Summary: Chef Dedalo and Chef Otilia host an amazing Tuscan culinary experience. Their cooking class was our most favorite, lasting family memory from our trip to Cortona and I cannot recommend it enough. They welcome you into their beautiful country home to share an evening with their family, providing delicious wine straight from their vineyards and a tasty, authentic, and approachable menu which they will teach you to cook. Prepare to roll up your sleeves. If you want to get a sense of how a real Italian family lives, then this is for you. We were in Cortona visiting our daughter who is studying there, and decided to book this experience as a family. Each of us agree that cooking with Chef Dandy and Otilia and their family was the best night of our trip, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. It feels like a special honor to be a guest in their hospitable home and kitchen, and you’ll feel like you’re among friends that you’ve know for ages. I hope to return someday, thank you again Dedalo and Otilia.

Summary: My husband and I took a cooking class (just the two of us) taught by Dèdalo and his wife Otilia in their home. My Italian is so-so but my husband only speaks English but communication wasn’t a problem; Dèdalo and Otilia speak English well. We were made to feel very welcome. The class (lasting about four hours) consisted of two kinds of bruschetta that Dèdalo had made (he shared the recipes with us), a ragù that he made with us, fresh pasta that Otilia made with us, and ended with tiramisù that we made with her. Water, caffè, and wine were freely offered. My husband and I then ate our meal on their terrace that had a beautiful view. The family was just lovely. Dèdalo’s parents were there pitching in, as were their young daughter and her cousin. It was a peek into Italian family life capped off with a delicious meal. We thoroughly enjoyed their generous hospitality and would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cooking.
